Shishu dibas - Children Day celebrating by Srikhanda Janashastha Samity

"Children Day", as an event, is celebrated on various days in many places around the world, in particular to honor children.
India's Children's Day is celebrated on November 14th the birthday of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Most schools hold cultural performances on this day, run by the children themselves, and teachers also get involved to make it a day to enjoy and remember. Nehru emphasized the importance of giving love and affection to children, who he saw as the bright future of India, and this ideal is celebrated on this day. In Bengali culture it is used to call Shishu dibas. Srikhanda Janashastha samity organized a children's rally in Srikhanda village. There were about 150 children in this rally. This rally start on 3pm in evening with slogan "chacha nehru amar rahe", "shishu dibas jindabad", etc.I post here some picture of this rally

Katwa Khepa Kali , Jhupo Kali , Nalahati Boro Thakrun Puja

Though this blog about Srikhanda but I like to introuce the three famous kali puja from katwa and Nalahati. Nalahati is under Sudpur Gram Panchayat in katwa 1 panchayat samity.I Post some pictures of the famous khepa kali of Katwa. The festival of Kali Puja is not an ancient one. Kali Puja was practically unknown before the 18th century but I don’t know the history of this puja .But for all of our prayer of katwa I post some picture of this famous kali. Not only the the people of katwa but the Khepa Kali Puja is also widely known and attended by people from nearby villages. Special police forces were there to control the line of people in the Khepa Kali temple.
